No percentage split this year named for the Grenache and Mourvèdre, but the notes do also state “a decent whack of estate Shiraz.” No harm done there at all.
Tahbilk, Grenache Mourvèdre, Rosé, Nagambie Lakes, 2020
A bright and pale watermelon/cerise colour. Reams of musk, white peach, little red currants, pleasant citronella and even a touch of the rustic regional dustiness that the Shiraz can deliver. Taut, dry and savoury with juicy acidity giving an eyebrow raising zap, yet running a little on the lean side. No question of the balance and quality. Tuna tataki come at me.
