Note, the bottle image shows the 2016, but nought has changed except the vintage year.
TarraWarra Estate, K Block, Merlot, Yarra Valley, 2017
Deep ruby-garnet in colour. Fragrant nose with plush purple and black berries, pencil wood, cooking chocolate, smoky incense hints, violet blossoms, soaked raisins and a little flinty reduction. Absolutely fan favourite stuff here yet providing complexity that is well disguised in plain sight. The tannins are lithe and provide a fine amount of knotty grip while charismatic black fruits slide effortlessly across all while bitter chocolate lingers. Well made.
