This Grenache from vines 32 – 91 years old, fermented and matured in older French oak, save for one parcel in stainless steel for fruit purity.
Orlando, Cellar 13, Grenache, Barossa Valley, 2019
Bright and fresh fruit forward. Aromatic raspberry, dark cherry, roasted tomato, fresh leather, woody spice and a touch of Turkish Delight. Fun and juicy mod-Grenache style with plenty of texture but stays medium bodied. Good spread of red fruit and fine, fine tannins. Good length through the finish and potential to handle a couple of years in the cellar.
Rating: 18/20 (92/100)
