Footbolt was one of the horses that Joseph Osborn (Chester’s Grandad) sold to purchase the d’Arenberg property. New and used French oak for 12 to 18 months maturation.
d’Arenberg, The Footbolt, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2018
Twiggy woody spice with plenty of plum, gunpowder, loganberry, leather, rose petal and Easter egg chocolate. Dark fruit, medium-full with a fine, reined in tail. Tannins are firm and decorated with good acidity thrust. A solid release.
