Originally brewed by the New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins in Colorado (USA) in 2017, the Voodoo Ranger range of IPAs (India Pale Ales) such as Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA,  Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA, Voodoo Ranger American Haze, Xperimental IPA  and Captain Dynamite IPA! Having achieved something akin to a cult status to get the attention of Lion here in Australia. Now being brewed “fresh here in Australia” (read: brewed under licence) this “OG” IPA is now available nationally in cans and soon to be in selected venues on tap.

New Belgium Brewing, Voodoo Ranger, India Pale Ale, NV

For a “west-coast dry-hopped IPA” it’s fairly clean and bordering on lager elements. Fruity upfront hop action gives mango and pineapple influences, before a medium weight (despite the alcohol) body and a good tail of crisp, familiar bitterness and malt. Almost, dare I say it, sessionable.
