The Flagship Cabernet for the Davey family of Shingleback and only made in exceptional vintages. While the current release is 2017, don’t be surprised if this turns up in the subscription pack called “The Pick.” Note, this is bottled under cork.

8 years old and still showing primary elements of bay leaf, blackberry and cassis. Some elements of development appearing with yeasty, dark meatiness and mushroomy depth. Still plenty of fruit for the full bodied palate with secondary truffle and stock before a bright hit of mint. Maintains elegant tannins that are slowly unknitting but still providing some support. Drink in the next couple of years.
