Patina, Chardonnay, Orange, 2019
Initial overt oak that blows off to show peach kernel flesh/woody tones, a hint of caramel popcorn, roasted cashews, lemon cheesecake (inc the crumbly crust), fleshy melon and brioche dough. Rich, deep and fleshy palate that reveals itself in a glacial fashion: slow moving and powerful. Quite a lasting flavour experience with the woody savoury base note underpinning the long finish with a hint of honeysuckle sweetness.
