Matthew Atallah Wines, Phoenix 8, Pinot Noir, Orange, 2019
Medium garnet in colour. Nose of cherry skin and cherry juice with sapid blood orange rind/juice, and a touch of dense leafy stalky forest floor. Medium fine bones to the structure. Dark cherry with yeasty savoury influence and little bacon depth. Chalky texture with gummy, stalky tannin. Presents evenly measured trough the palate with a surprising acid lift through the long tail.
