The Piece Project by Longview. In its trademark oversized paint spray can packaging, this celebrates its 10th release and labelled as the artist series. After all the pandemic rubbish is over, fingers crossed the Longview team can get The Piece competition back to its full glory.

All the rich things: blueberry pie crust, latte foam, black forest chocolate, black cherry, creosote, red plums and stalky spice. Satiny and full. Concentration without being overbearing. Plenty of cool clime acidity and sharp spice. Sumptuous deep flow from front to back and while there’s all those layers, the tension holds with strong grip. Quality oak uplifting grainy, tight tannin and full, long tail. Now to 20 years.
