The heavy end of the new “Macclesfield” range from Longview. There’s not many straight Cabernet in the Hills and Longview do it well.
Longview, Macclesfield, Cabernet Sauvignon, Adelaide Hills, 2020
Peaty, mossy turned earth over blackberry paste, black olive, crushed leaf, bramble, dry tobacco, bay and grated dark chocolate. Mid weight, polished with plentiful fanning drying mesh tannins, though they’re just a little in the greener end of the spectrum. Tight and dark, serve with roast beast or cellar.
