Mr Mick, Tempranillo, Clare Valley, 2018
Macerated cherry and strawberry red fruit. Shredded tobacco herb/spice, light cedary oak, celery seed with hints of spiritual nods of blueberry, chocolate, roast coffee bean and a touch of spiritous lift. Smooth, slick and full with mid-palate “dry red” characters before lingering anise/spice and vanilla oaky hints. Mushy, just there tannins supporting ready to go now attitude. Balanced and an easy choice for mushroom steaks or a beef casserole.
