Allegiance Wine’s home base is in the cool climes of Tumbarumba, NSW, however here they take fruit from a single vineyard in Vine Vale, smack bang in the middle of the Barossa Valley.
Allegiance Wines,The Artisan, Reserve, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2020
Meaty and salty Barossa effect with dark plum and berry compote, Easter egg chocolate, soft raisin, raw baking dough and spices with some hits of vanilla cedary oak. Drawn and tight palate while the oak feels a little raspy and raw as it draws through plenty of anise spiced dark fruit. Final echoes of dry and bitter coffee. No need to hurry, a little time will help develop the flesh.
