Allegiance Wine still have their 2018 flagship Barossa for sale on their website, but not for much longer. From a dry grown vineyard in the Light Pass area of the Valley.
Allegiance Wines, Unity, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2019
Full throttle Barossa Shiraz. A little meaty reduction that blows off. Licorice and cove studs over vanilla tinged oak, ripe grape and dark fruit compote with a cool leafiness. Supple and deep. Flowing, light suede tannins and good persistence. Full yes and a touch hedonistic but it doesn’t ring with too much heat (considering the ABV), well done to the winemakers.
