A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (dominant) and Cabernet Franc. The fruit comes from the St Matthias vineyard, overlooking the River Tamar (kanamaluka) in northern Tasmania. Note: Bottle image is of the 2015 which is still currently available.

Pa. Blackcurrant and cassis with dusty violets, eggplant skin, mocha driven oak, wooden sideboard, dried tea leaves, potpourri and smoked cheddar protein meaty depth. Medium full with driving, intense, sinewy tannins. Neatly elegant with dusty drying fruit giving an old school vibe. Fine value considering the ageing has been (partly) done for you.
