L.G.F stands for Little Giant Free. For this wine, we’re at the same vineyard that produced the Grenache: single estate, certified organic and biodynamic and sustainable. Under wax and cork. Winemakers are Corey Ryan and the (quite tall) Mike Brown (famous of Gemtree)
Little Giant, L.G.F, Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2021
Peat, earth, rich plum, crushed black pepper, shaved anise, steel wool, choc ganache, parmesan rind/meaty depth and just out of the dryer flannelette sheets. Medium full palate, surprising puckering acidity freshness that slices through bright jubey fruit with a licorice echo. Super dark slurpy fun with a grounded earthy base.
Rating: 17.75/20 (91/100)
