L.G.F stands for Little Giant Free. Here we get a divisive grape for the region: Cab Sauv. But when it comes from a well regarded single estate, certified organic and biodynamic and sustainable vineyard (you can work out who), best to take note. Under wax and cork. Winemakers are Corey Ryan and Mike Brown (famous of Gemtree).
Little Giant, L.G.F, Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale, 2021
Polished Cabernet nose: all blackcurrant pastille and herbal flowers: lavender and rosemary. Roll in some bay leaf and dark yeast spread* to black olive brine hint. Some dog fart meaty reduction that will blow off leading to graphite/mineral edged regional sluicing. Mod Oz Cabernet with salty black and green olive compensating for pastille heavy, slick black and blue fruit. Has some chew with fine, focusing tannin. Lamb ribs (to cut through sweet young fat) or miso braised eggplant.
Rating: 17.5/20 (90/100)
