Previously this wine retailed at $20, but the team at Fourth Wave Wine have now made this an “On Premesis” exclusive. Which means bistros and pubs. Made by FWW honcho Nicholas Crampton and Tim Shand from Punt Rd wines.
The Hare & The Tortoise, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2022
Takes a while to open up, but ultimately offering strawberry and plum conserve, cherry juice, blue metal stone, easy leather and animal skin, dried herbs and crushed autumn leaves. Medium bodied with easy red fruit and sour cherry flavours. Sappy tannins and simple finish, spiked by citrussy acidity. Clean and balanced, if not earth shattering. Will be very happy to accompany a plate full of char siu pork.
RRP: whatever the table stand has it at….probably $10 a glass and $32 a bottle in your nearest bistro.
Alc: 13%
