Deep garnet. Varietal Cabernet and regional Coonawarra: Blackcurrant, blackberry, mint, young crushed eucalypt, hints of pastille, pencil shavings, cigar box and cedary oak. It’s almost a caricature. Mid to full black fruit with “proper” drying, spreading tannins and lovely juxtaposition of bright, silky dark fruit. Cab Sauv by the numbers but done well.
