Yalumba, Paradox, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2018
Garnet hue. Very un-Barossa like in its expression: violets, malt, turned earth, suggestions of Christmas cake, mulberry syrup, pencil graphite, plum conserve, Easter Egg choc and a little licorice. Hyper elegant palate with pure silk through the front palate and super gossamer tannins. Savoury, near minty cool halo through the long finish. Flowing, gentle and persuasive, but most importantly a delight to drink.
