Deep violet to bruise purple. Leafy, kitchen herbs, cherries, plums, raspberry and bay leaf. A little meaty depth and chocolate/malt oak. Mid to full: fleshy red fruit with tobacco edged spice and long tail. Tannins are pervasive and made for food: any pasta with a tomato based sauce or lamb chops or steaks.
