Y Series, Chardonnay, South Australia, 2025
Light lemon gold colour. Green mango, grapefruit citrus, subtle leesy influence with sesame oil, smoked ham hock, a hint lemon drop lolly and a touch of gun flint. It’s Chardonnay, and recognisably so. Which is a very good thing for this price point. Nothing complex, but definitely Chardonnay. Flinty and minerally with grapefruit and lemon thyme, fleshed out with a touch of residual sugar. Acidity still zings. More than happy to have a glass.
