The flagship of the the Heggies range. Fruit from a single block on the high elevation Heggies Vineyard (Block “i”). For all the clone nerds out there, made from Bernard Clones 76, 95 and 96. Fermentation and maturation in French oak barriques and hogsheads, with 35% new, 45% one year old and the last 20% two to four years old. 16 months on lees. Wild ferment and vegan friendly. Bright lemon/yellow. fresh bread crust, hazelnut studded nougat, white chocolate, gun flint, grilled lemon, torn fresh fig, and easy stone fruit slices. Mid weight with beautifully layered fruit and winemaking interplay to give plentiful persistent flavour: Well structured and yet fine. Finishing with plenty of bright class and enough juicy acidity to push the drive long.
