Clandestine Vineyards Malbec 2021

Fruit this year comes from Wilyabrup in the prestige row of Margaret River. 1st and 2nd use French oak maturation for 20 months. Vegan friendly. Please note, bottle image is of a “Burgundy” shape, while the sample sent to me was in a “Bordeaux” shaped bottle (taller, straighter shoulders).

Clandestine Vineyards, Malbec, Margaret River, 2021

Glass staining purple. Roasting root vegetables over plenty of mocha, boysenberry, black cherries, licorice, char and a suggestion of herbal minty freshness. Slick and gliding across the palate with a concentrated intensity and chunky, chewy tannin. Just the perfect foil for any protein.

RRP: $35
Alc: 14.5%
