Yalumba, The Y Series, Merlot, South Australia, 2021

Medium garnet with a bright ruby edge in colour. Atractive and bright nose: Blue fruits and a little lavender. Some dark cherry, tobacco, chocolate and blood plum. Strikes the right balance between perky and fleshy. Fruit is bright, tannins are present and just supple. No great length, but plenty of flavour that carries through, finishing with a dark yeasty suaveness.
