It’s no secret I’m a fan of Longview’s wines, but this is one of my favourites. Warming and attractive nose: baking spice, dark cherry, asphalt, burnt caramel, dark rose petals, licorice bullets, old leather and a little prosciutto. Juicy and fun with all that dark profile fruit and spice. Lifted with plenty of youthful, cutting acidity and a close of hyperfine fruit driven tannin. Serve in big pours to match a pepperoni pizza or penne smothered in a veal ragu.
