Spanish in origin, Tempranillo from Heathcote joins the Woodfired line up. Winemaker is Jono Thompson from the De Borts Yarra Valley team. Pressed off and matured in vats and casks for 5 months.

Medium garnet to bruise purple. Cherries and coffee, pastille, licorice and soft flannelette shirt. Savoury and just plush with lingering dark cherry/berry tinged with herbal nuances. Tannins are a little floury to grainy and offer a good base. Enjoyable by itself, but will shine with a plate full of grilled chorizo.
