Angullong, Fossil Hill, Montepulciano, Orange, 2023
Dark ruby. Fresh mown grass, pine needle, licorice, herby base note to ‘fruits of the forest’ and plums on the nose. Medium weight. Berry flesh, waxy and firm tannins. Handsome, dark and a touch of licorice. There’s a graphite edge and keen tannins with a soft meatiness wrapped with a vanilla edge. The herb and fruit ying/yang resulting in a balanced, delicious experience.
