Apparently the fruit picked so clean by the selective harvester, it didn’t even need to go through the crusher/destemmer. Wild ferment. 50 % New oak for 16 months. Take a bow Cliff Royle and team. Opens up with class….like mahogany inlay on a Bentley. Purple fruited mulberry (staining your shirt, hands and teeth) and pretty violets, with the tiniest smattering of iodine and salted dark chocolate adultness. Full bodied, yet lithe and muscular. The tannins, so silty and fine (yet never coarse), serve as the undercurrent to the blackcurrant. The oak is seriously well handled. Like a number 1 draft pick, it could play Seniors in the first round but will still be a champion in 15 years time. F**k me, you could drink this all night.

RRP: $58

Alc: 13.8%
