Hungerford Hill look over their proverbial fences for some of their fruit, namely Pinot and Chardonnay from Tumbarumba and Cabernet from Hilltops. Both the 2014 and 2013 are for sale on the Hungerford Hill website.

Dense and almost opaque. Proper Cabernet aromas with blackberry, a steely ferrous note, cloves and savoury olive (almost tapenade). The olive is quite prevalent on the palate along with rich cassis and sharp tobacco. Some heat from the alcohol which seems to skinny out the fruit before a long finish of knobbly little tannins. Some cellar time wouldn’t hurt this at all,
