Risky Business is Viticulturist Rob Quenby, John Waldron as the vintner and winemaking falls to the talented team at West Cape Howe. Normally they get their fruit from Great Southern in Western Australia, but here they’ve gone to Sangiovese heartland of King Valley in Victoria.
Risky Business, Sangiovese, Rosé, King Valley, 2017
A pale, dusty rose colour in the glass. A nose of pink grapefruit, red cherry, musk and some buttery richness. Dry, crisp and lightly flavoured with similar red fruits as the nose with some white peach lift also. Flavour length finishing a little short. Don’t serve it too cold and make sure you’ve got a salumi plate on standby.
