This comes as a museum release and part of “The Pick,” which is Shingleback’s wine club: I don’t believe this label is still produced commercially. Aged for average 15 months in French oak.
Shingleback, Davey Estate, Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale, 2012
Showing a little development on the nose, with earthier tones emerging: campfire remnants (eucalypt and ash) over primary blackberry, pencil and regional chocolate. The palate still tight with the knitted tannins starting to loosen and become gravelly. Ready to go now
