Shaw and Smith, Shiraz, Adelaide Hills, 2016
Just an incredible cornucopia to the wine: pepper and clove nuances, with husks of brown spice pods. Dried flowers over blue and deep red fruits. Mineral-tinged gunsmoke. Impeccably balanced with silky, fine grained, tight tannins supporting a pristine fruit spectrum. An expressive beauty of a wine with a long, driving finish. Superb.
