Jacob’s Creek have now both styles of rosé, still and sparkling for their Le Petit Rosé. French riviera evoking labeling and capsule. Where’s your motor boat when you need it? No listing of fruit, but as per last year, I’m thinking grenache and maybe pinot noir.
Jacob’s Creek, Le Petit Rosé, Brut Cuvée, SEA, 2018
Pale salmon pink hue. Carbonated, so only a light mousse which dissipates fast and offers fine, tiny beading. Fruity aromas of strawberry, guava, cherry, Turkish delight and blood orange. There’s similar fruits to the just medium palate, headed by cherry and strawberry. Finishing predominantly dry, this holds a little complexity and balanced acidity. Would be able handle richer fish dishes and charcuterie platters.
