Crazy value here from Heartland wines. The 2016 has not long been released, should be a bit of this around.
Heartland Wines, Spice Trader, Shiraz; Cabernet Sauvignon, Langhorne Creek, 2015
The quintessential Australian blend. Plums and dusty blackcurrant, plenty of leafy eucalyptus which underscores the Australianess. Meaty salumi, moist tobacco and flint strike and smooth choc-mint. Slick and silky with mocha char oak influences over the light chocolatey tannins. Maintains brightness and lift with minty freshness over predominantly purple fruit. Not overtly complex, but good value for the price. Easy mid-week match for many types of dishes.
