From dry grown 85 year old vines in Greenock, north west Barossa.

Kalleske, Old Vine, Grenache, Barossa Valley, 2017

Powerful, obtuse aromas: dried raspberry, musk sticks, turned earth and desiccated coconut oak with a distinct dried floral lift. A touch jammy and sour through the finish with tannins that act like a fire blanket. Oak char battles with bruising raspberry fruit. It’s intense and made in a purposeful style. A match for food, but somewhat hard going on its own.
