Franco and the team have put a 6 bottle limit on purchasing this wine, just so there’s enough to go around. 6 isn’t enough but my suggestion is to get your allocation sooner rather than later. 20% Whole bunch fermentation for this vintage.
Hoddles Creek Estate, 1er Yarra Valley, Pinot Noir, 2018
The nose bristles with fleshy dark cherry, crushed herb, crushed minerals, smoky meats and hints of gum leaf. Remaining just medium bodied with good amounts of cherry and big strawberry flavour while the tannins are tightly woven and supported with structure from the whole bunch element (judged well so as not be astringent or green.) Near seamless, perhaps as if rose petals overlapping. There’s a generosity of flavour without compromising its pedigree or pinosity. Another cracking release from Franco and the team at Hoddles Creek.
