Tahbilk are getting ready in 2020 to celebrate their 160th Anniversary with a series of events throughout the year. That’s an incredible feat making the vineyard one of the oldest continual operating in Australia. The current custodians, the Purbricks, are also looking forward to 2025 to celebrate their centenary at the helm of Tahbilk.
Tahbilk,Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Nagambie Lakes, 2017
The combination of these Rhone varieties makes for an aromatric tour de force. Rich citrus and stonefruit skin, with plenty of intense blossom over wax paper, honeysuckle and steely flinty lines and sprinkling of warm brioche notes. The palate manages to encapsulate the savoury, waxy weight without being overblown. Flavours of stone fruit skin and lemon pip leading a long, cool tail. A harmonious blend.
