The full title is “Preservative Free Wrattonbully Red Field Blend.” A blend of Merlot, Malbec, Aglianico and Barbera, all picked and fermented together. Preservative (Sulphur dioxide) free. Made exclusively for Cellarmasters by Gwyn Olsen, winemaker at Briar Ridge and Pepper Tree in the Hunter Valley.

Herbal and chocolaty nose of “Chico” lollies, yeasty darkness with crushed mint and eucalypt , briny chicken salt and garam spice. Smooth, yet crunchy palate with plenty of red and dark berries. Tannins are fine and fruit derived ensuring dark freshness. Give it a chill. Serve with tacos al pastor.
