Vermentino is a hardy soul of a grape. While originating in Italy, it is well suited to the warm wine regions of Australia due to its ability to retain freshness and acidity.

Very pale and almost clear hue. Lightly fragrant with lemon drop, lime flesh pips, green candy apple, tropical melon skin, cotton wool and a steely metal line. There’s a little more flesh to bones than the nose suggests and while the zesty acidity is a somewhat hard and firm as a standalone drink it certainly augurs well for food pairing of a big platter of fritto misti! Serve chilled and have fun.
