Angullong have just tweaked their labeling, but it’s not a huge departure from the image that is presented below. Which is of the 2016 vintage. Anyway.
Angullong, Shiraz, Orange, 2019
Meaty reduction upon opening: liver pâté over plums, blackberry and coffeed oak. Stalky stemmy green spice, darker cool climate black jelly bean mix of sweetness/spice. The palate offers peppery spice and with stretched, loose, drying tannins and orange citrus juicy acid twang to finish. Better around for the price.
RRP: $22
Alc: 14.5%
Rating: 16.25/20 (85/100)
