Burton McMahon George’s Vineyard Chardonnay 2019

A collaboration by Dylan McMahon of Seville Estate in the Yarra Valley and Matt Burton of Gundog Estate. The vineyard is located in Seville East at a moderate 180m above sea level. The fruit is hand picked, the wine naturally fermented. Maturation in French oak (30% new) for 10 months. Bottle image is of 2018, but nought else is different.

Burton McMahon, George’s Vineyard, Chardonnay, Yarra Valley, 2019

Fresh just warm toast aromas over egg shell, yellow citrus and nut butter. Pent up with a tension that doesn’t want to resolve. Intense focus and drive of fruit persistence, offset with the just the right amount of textural grip. A classy release.
