New addition the Shingleback stable. 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Shiraz. Each component has been vinified separately in small open fermenters. 13 months maturation in 1 to 4 year old French Oak hogsheads for the Cabernet and the Shiraz in 6-year-old oak to retain the fruit profile. 12 months rest in the bottle before release.

Blueberry, blackberry, soft spice, rosewater, raspberry and a little “portello” sweetness. Smoky cigar lift from the Cabernet. Seamless blend of structural Cabernet (fine grained tannins) with upfront plushness of the Shiraz. Showing very good balance and persistence through to a bright finish. A quality release of the classic Australian blend.
