Truth in labelling writ large. Or medium in this case. A blend of Shiraz (58%), Cabernet Sauvignon (32% ), Tempranillo (5%) and Touriga (5%)
Nick Spencer Wines, Medium Dry Red Gundagai, 2019
Lifted aromatic fruits, cherry, raspberry, mixed berry conserve, digestif herbals, cardamom seed, vanilla, comforting flannel, hints of black jelly bean, leather, meaty bresaola and black peppercorns.
The fruit blend is harmonious, precise and wonderfully intentional: a sum of the whole of its parts. Medium bodied and supple. The tannins are silky yet firm, direct, the kind of tannins that would be punctual if you will. Such a long tail that just keeps giving and giving before a cleansing acidity. Absolutely top tier.
