Again the parcels of fruit are taken from the exemplary Four Winds vineyard in Murrumbateman and from the Wallaroo vineyard further afield in Hall. Again 100% Shiraz and 12 months in French oak.
Gundog Estate, Shiraz, Canberra District, 2019
Sticks with a signature cranberry/blackberry aroma with deeper dark toffee apple, some garam and ginger spice, moist beetroot & choc cake, elements of animalistic leather and sheen of sweet oak. Stays straight with supple, silky tannins through bright sheets of fruit. Handful of tannic grip to the close. This really is a charismatic red.
