After Five Wine Co., Serata, Barossa Valley, 2018
Toasty charry oak over rich plum, dark cherry, hints of tomato sugo and some sweaty, meaty depth. A hint of herby cool mint, juniper and fennel seed. Yin/Yang of rich Barossa Shiraz gives way to edgy, ferrous fuzzy tannin Italians. Creamy mocha richness and very direct approach of elegant acidity for a long finish. A slight step up from the 2017.
