Okay, so sometimes it’s not always about wine. Small Acres Cyder in the cool climate Orange region of New South Wales. Small Acres Cyder have been very successful over the years, they are the only Australian cider maker that has been awarded both Champion Australian Cider and Champion Australian Perry awards at the Australian Cider Awards.
This inaugural ‘Heritage Blend’, is the first new cider to be released by the new owners, the Geoghegan family. Made from French and English cider varieties with light touch of Australian Pink Lady apples.
Small Acres Cyder, Heritage Blend, Orange, NV
Clear in appearance. Medium gold in colour. Tight beading and fine lacing. Soft, creamy nose: plenty of red apple along with richer notes of baking spices and brioche. Lightly carbonated with juicy, tart apple flesh and a fine structure that is reminiscent of white wines from the region. Finishing clean, with an intense dryness and a long tail of flavour.
