This wine made under the well awarded hands of Elena Brooks and Rosie Signer. Wild ferment.
Heirloom Vineyards, Pinot Grigio, Adelaide Hills, 2021
Pale lemon hue. Rich pear and apple, lines of green melon, dried banana, musk stick and with a nutty, almost malty wild ferment influence. Austere and tight palate. Much leaner than the 2020. Granny Smith apple-like bracing acidity cuts fierce lines through pear flesh and light lime citrus. The finish is dry, with a savoury echo. Would be a match for spiced Thai salad.
