A deviation here in the usual Jaraman paradigm, this release is a sourced from a single region, namely the Yarra Valley.
Taylors, Jaraman, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2019
Upfront and bold. Strawberry, plum and cherry with some kirsch elements, stalky resin, peppery and ginger spice with plum sauce and dried peel. Smooth, broad and easy red fruit front palate with a dry and waxy tanninc wash. An out of place steely tang at the finish that juts out over the other rich fruit, spice and leaf matter. Leans a little into “dry red” territory but will find fans of riper styles.
