Ohh, this is different. No holds barred: There’s inky and dark red fruit with an earthy tar/bitumen base, crushed purple flowers, plenty of blood plum, melted dark chocolate, roast nuts and a cooling herbaceous/kitchen herb whisper. Structural, serious and a little roguish with a spread of firm, drying, raw tannins like rusty nails and some surprisingly intense, puckering acidity with glass staining tendencies.
