After Five Wine Co., Montepulciano, Barossa Valley, 2019
Plush and plump blackberry, boysenberry and mulberry with cherry plum, steel wool, actual wool, licorice, blood orange, chocolate and woody spice. Medium full and juicily fruit-focused. Velvety, fine grained tannin like coffee granules are all pervasive giving a grumbly tarmac across which plenty of acidity slides into sharp focus.
RRP: $35
Alc: 13.5%
Rating: 17.75/20 (91/100)
